Good article, as always.

A couple of notes:

Per court testimonies Kyle opened fire for the first time only when he ended up being cornered at the parking lot and rapist lunged at him trying to grab his rifle, not due to other rioter shooting (whose identity is known and he wasn't even subpoenaed if I'm not mistaken).

TYT co-host admitted being wrong about Kyle chasing the rapist, not about skin colors.

Aahh, well thanks for the corrections. One might hope that the two things I missed on don't impact the sensemaking value of the overall article.

Following the trial https://www.bitchute.com/channel/4I3OqIk7gzoU/. The commentary is helpful as he critiques both the prosecution and defense. Whether the prosecution really tried is up for debate. Their own witnesses suggests the trial should have never happened but was seemingly driven by the press who got nearly all of the story wrong, on purpose maybe, for clicks certainly. Whether Rittenhouse goes down the Nick Sandman road remains to be seen but Sandman's life was trashed via press zeal to create a narrative.

Many in the public are becoming quite aware of the dual system of justice to preserve a narrative in the harsh sentencing of the J6 people. Some are guilty of violence and need to be held to account; others, not so much.

so murderer did a background check on the victims before he shot them. Or was it: guy we worship killed some people, let's do a character assassination on the victims and oh gee we found a criminal record after the fact? So murdering people accused, or that have priors is okay now? Seems like that goes against the Constitution. 2A people love to yell about Constitution, but ignore most of it.

I don't care about their priors but they do explain the mindset of those that were clapped. Anywho I have two working eyes and I saw the videos and they without a shadow of a doubt prove he acted in self-defense. You can blather on about how he shouldn't be there (if you say he shouldn't the rioters shouldn't as well) and he shouldn't have had a firearm. I shudder to think what they would have done to him if he hadn't had one.

We know exactly what would have happened to him if he didn't have a firearm. They would have hospitalized him and turned the gas station into a firebomb, just like they did the prior two nights.

No, it's "guy who committed legitimate self defense against lethal force was acquitted when the actual facts were judged". He's not a murderer because he didn't commit murder. But you already knew that because you read the article.

It's been a while, but I remember seeing the videos of the first incident last year and I didn't get the impression that he was cornered, exactly. I'd be curious, on the off chance you have any reference beyond the defense testimony, which might help reinforce that characterization

(I'll confess having argued that he could have continued to evade, but instead saw an opportunity to take cover between cars, where he squared up and fired. If I misunderstood, I would like to issue corrections.)

More video has been played in the trial. There is evidence that Rosenbaum had his hands on Rittenhouse's gun. Rosenbaum clearly imagined this frightened teen wouldn't pull the trigger or Rosenbaum was so suicidal he didn't care. He had just been released from the hospital for suicidal ideation.

The FBI overhead video suggests that further retreat would place Rittenhouse among another large group of rioters had he continued between those cars. That may be why Rittenhouse turned toward Rosenbaum.

It's worth noting that the large group of rioters were smashing cars with baseball bats up until the first gunshot. I wouldn't want to run through them even if I hadn't just shot someone.

It was interesting to see the video showing the bat wielders scatter everywhere as the gunshots sounded. I hadn't realized that Kyle shot Rosenbalm 4 times, the first just after he turns (he must be aware of the bat people) as he approaches the car. Rosenbalm starts to fall and gets shot more times, finally on his back on the ground. Kyle emerges from between the cars. I can appreciate his fear and his near disbelief that the chase was over as he rounds the car and sees others running in.

Then you need to get your eyes checked. He was not only blocked in by the cars but behind said cars was a group of rioters
