Names need naming. Joe Rogan may well be too charitable for this, but he could simply call for public apologies: not from 'CNN' or 'the corporate media' for their Ivermectin slander, but from Brian Stelter.

Anderson Cooper.

Don Lemon.

Jim Acosta.

Great list and idea for a swap. This is my favorite: "Every journalist who calls a bi-yearly medical treatment with a 30% or less chance of preventing disease transmission “a vaccine” is cancelled."

I could see how this list could easily go on for pages without much effort, but I would add: Every journalist who described what happened on Jan. 6, 2021 as "an attempted coup" or "an insurrection" is cancelled.

Joe's now too big to be cancelled now which is good however there's some concern about him apologizing for the recent nothingburger and probably applying self-censorship since Spotify CEO memo states that in the end it was Joe's decision to remove 'controversial' podcasts, not the company's (https://twitter.com/pkafka/status/1490511000499544068). I hope he won't go h3h3's route.

Not a nitpick but you definitely can't trust Joe Rogan being entirely truthful when he talks about the UFC since that's his employer. It's pretty notable when issues around MMA fighter pay come up in his podcast.

This is the kind of shit that drives woke liberals crazy!!!!! Notice I added the word "woke" because I grew up in the 60's the woke liberals today are the puritans of the 50's.

The problem is only partly the journalists. The bigger problem is their employers. Employers determine which stories get publicized and which way they will be slanted. You can cancel all those journalists, but their employers will just replace them from the ginormous pool we have of unemployed journalism school graduates.

In this particular deal,we solve this by eliminating all their employees.

Get rid of a waffle house employee, another one can do the same job. The TITLE holds more power than the person.

This is only so because journalism school graduates are amoral, or myopically consequentialist (but I repeat myself). However, there is a culture: a set of norms, and these norms can be molded by shame and enforced with penalties.

The culture which allowed Brian Williams to retain his status after his fabrications is poisonous.

The reason why the deal cannot happen voluntarily: it follow the Roko's Basilisk mythos. https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/yDKaLkT9bNWNCFJqn/political-roko-s-basilisk

The canceling beast transcends beyond persons and specific organizations. Anything that does not allows for the total domination of this beast of taboo, will be culled.

BUT there are always ways around it: (a) call bluff and "I prefer not to help" (b) false knowledge and malicious compliance (c) create a counter-mechanism that is tasked to fight the beast with the virtue of reconciliation
