October was, I apologize, not a great month for new articles other than an expansion of our Environmental Suite and some fact digging on Nord Stream.
But October did see HWFO migrate into a tabbed index environment covering different topics for easier searching, and also saw us add some new merchandise to the merch store.
It also saw Elon Musk start stealing HWFO’s material, whether he realizes it (yet) or not. Go bomb him with links and maybe I can get hired at New Twitter in the Egregore Department.
I have also decided that despite Claire blocking me on Twitter during one of her pro vax pro lockdown Covid-19 rants, I’m going to attend the Quillette Social in New Orleans in early January. I get a writer’s discount. I know at least one other HWFO reader is going to be there, so if you want to make the trip reach out and we can monopolize a corner of the bar together or try and pick up neotrad girls. Or, if you’re a girl, you can try to pick me up. Information about that is in here someplace:
It’s a little pricey, and I don’t know if the fees include food and drinks or not, but the fees probably keep the rabble out.
Plans are still in the works for the first annual HWFOCon for paid subscribers, but the pool project that never ends has not, in fact, ended so I can’t give a firm date on it yet.
Subscription
This publication is and will always remain free to read, and any money earned through Substack subscriptions or Patreon will be dutifully spent on the author’s alcohol fund. Anyone who contributes to said alcohol fund will gain access to our private Slack server to discuss HWFO topics with other HWFO readers (and me) outside the public eye. Around 170 people are yammering away in there right now, and some of the article topics are born from these discussions. I’ll post an updated access link in a few days, as subscriber only content. If you’re a Patreon supporter you can gain access too, just email me.
I'll be vaguely in the area, but $150 is too rich for my blood at the moment. Alas.
